Circa Survive

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I was pretty upset when I had heard 2 of my favorite bands were touring this summer, and coming to Boston when I wasn’t going to be in town. One of these bands is called Circa Survive. Their new album is out tomorrow, it’s awesome. Anyways, I was recently tipped off they were playing acoustic in Massachusetts about a month before the big show. Well lucky for me, I made it out and got to get some photos of one of my favorite singers, Anthony Green, who fronts Circa Survive!

I needed a new self portrait, and I wanted to go with some dramatic. So here it is…

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus @ House of Blues

Friday, April 16th, 2010

When I heard RJA was coming through I was pumped. They’re an awesome band, and really cool guys. I was with them in their green room pre-show to do a quick interview and just to hang. They’re such down to earth guys, and very very smart. We spoke about their recent breakup with Virgin Records. Most bands end up getting dropped from their record label or something. But for RJA, they actually dropped from the record label instead. They originally signed a contract with Virgin Records, and then Virgin Records brought out a new deal and they did not agree to this, so RJA left. Anyways, here are some shots.

A Day To Remember @ House of Blues

Friday, April 16th, 2010

Well I shot an insane sold out show at the house of blues earlier this week. The headliner was A Day To Remember, who put on a sick live show. The crowd was wild, and the show on stage was just as crazy. Here are some photos of A Day To Remember.

New Project Finished! - Keepin’ Fresh

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Well I was working on this random project called “Keepin’ Fresh.” Anyways the title is basically a triple pun on the entire meaning of the project. I took most of the food out of the refrigerator, and only kept in the food that really needs to keep fresh. That would be the fruit, milk, cheese, and meat. The other stuff we keep in the refrigerator can stay fresh for a long time without being that cold. I then took a bunch of my clothing and put them in different places in the refrigerator. There’s a lot of different things going in with the project too. There are underwear in the meat drawer, as well as there is sausage..hmm? The clothes are also in the fridge because it’s keeping them ‘fresh’ and when you wear nice clothes you look ‘fresh.’ Anyways check it out…

Dashboard Confessional @ House of Blues

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

I had a chance to shoot a band I’ve enjoyed for a long time this past week. Dashboard Confessional was in town, with support by Corey Chisel and the Wandering Sons. The stage was lit beautifully and made my job a lot easier than it usually is. Here are some photos.

Been Really Busy

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Hey people

I’ve been too busy to post anything here. I was recently out of state doing some photography work, and now I’ve been back for like 2 weeks trying to get back into the swing with things. Last night I shot 3 awesome bands. Mariachi el Bronx, Violent Soho, and The Bronx. My favorite being Violent Soho. They were the nicest people, straight from Brisbane, Australia. Their tour manager gave me a 7 inch record of theirs, and after the show we all hung out around the venue. It was just a good time. I don’t have any images to share just yet, but I figured I’d update this thing.
