GWAR @ House of Blues

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Well I guess I’ve gone from one extreme to the other. I had the opportunity..if you want to call it that..to shoot GWAR. GWAR is like a death metal band that wears these ridiculous costumes and puts on an interesting show. They kill people on stage, spray everyone with fake blood and other things. It’s definitely not an ideal shooting situation for us photographers. The staff at the House of Blues was allowed to wear whatever clothes they wanted to that night as well, if that tells you anything of what to expect.

I only spent 3 songs in the pit between the stage and barricade, and I came out a complete (fake) bloody mess. The Red Sox game next to the HoB had just got out when I was leaving, and it was fun explaining why I looked like this to 100’s of people.

Anyways, here are the photos of GWAR…

Backstreets Back - ALRIGHT!

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Haha, anyways. I was asked to photograph “The Backstreet Boys” and I was not sure what to say. I thought they were all dead honestly. Anyways, I decided to give it a go for kicks. I only stayed for the first two songs, and I couldn’t stand the screaming girls (and a few guys). Anyways, here are some photos of the famed Backstreet Boys playing at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston.

Rome Day 2 - Lots of Walking and Touring

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Day 2 we went out on another tour. We stopped at the Trevi Fountain first.

They get about 400,000 euro out of that fountain each year.

Then we walked through a local market/artist are which was very nice. The architecture in Rome is just amazing. The next building we saw was the Parliament Building.

After that we headed to the Pantheon, which is a huge church like building, which has the biggest dome in the world. The doors weigh 6 tons also.

Then our tour took us back to Vatican City to see St. Peters again. It was nice to see it again.
